our mother shukkin' story

Mother Shukkers started as a fun concept with a father and daughter waiting in line to get gas at Costco.

Allyse is a certified professional makeup artist whom attended MUD in Burbank, CA. She worked in the industry for a few years and during the slow times kept gravitating back to the San Pedro Fish Market. She eventually started working at the oyster bar at Crusty Crab. "What's better than working with friends, getting to know new people, and giving them a fun experience on top of that? Its the most fun I've ever had while working," says Allyse. She fell in love with this concept of serving quick, fresh, and healthy food at parties. She comes from an ancestry of fishermen. Her dad, Danny Kadota is a very well known professional sport fisherman.

She just wanted a small portable oyster bar to set up at weddings, and other events. Danny came up with a very catchy name and told her to go big or go home. If she was going to cater, she should get a food truck. After about of year of contemplating she finally decided to go through and start this company. She wants this for her family, for her nieces and nephews, and for her community. Everyone should experience a job where you're working with your team and having a blast. Mother Shukkers hopes that you feel apart of their family by the time they're done serving you.
